Hey there’s Beth! Hi Beth!
Laughing with us and not at us, I hope!
Ava’s going onstage with Jessica and she looks cute. Okay, maybe a little lost, but there is the smile! She does her dance along with Namma and she really does a nice job. Judge Jocelyn thought Ava had a good hair day, “Even better than me.”
Then, TRAGEDY! Ava gets distracted by all the light bulbs in front of her and Jessica told her they were hot. So all she could say was “HOT! HOT!” (whereas all I was saying was, “Are those donuts too?”). Then Ava loses it and they walk her offstage. Given that she’s 22 months old, she totally forgets the lights and has moved onto another set of shiny keys.
Are they hot lights or hot donuts? Who’s to say?
Destiny is up next and Lisa explains she has to keep her hands down at her sides, which Destiny is having no part of. She is, however, having a part of everything at dinner judging by the chub that seems to be escaping from her dress. Seriously, get that kid in gymnastics or acrocheer or cheering acrobat or soccer for Christ’s sake.
“I do want Destiny to win that pageant and she’s not being very good about following directions,” Lisa laments as she says they have to be perfect to win. That sounds feasible for a four year old.
There’s the money shot.
Destiny gets onstage and looks very pretty…oh, does she not have a flipper? POINTS OFF! She really looks cute as the emcee says, “She’s the youngest of four brothers.” Yeah, she’s not ONE of the brothers, dude…maybe he’s just reading what her mom wrote. She does a pretty good job then exits on the wrong side of the stage. Lisa is freaking that, “Destiny done pretty good” but that she didn’t look at the judges.
TV VIDEOS GOOD.
And finally, Emma and her ‘tude are getting onstage with her big, black, mourning dress from Gone with the Wind. Oh, Vikki, really? The dress is too dark and she really should have worn the pink. You all know it, I know it, Emma knows it but mom thinks it was stunning. The emcee says Emma has two different colored eyes as the close up shows us her eyes are brown and lighter brown. Really?
Judge Jocelyn did love the black dress because it made Emma memorable. Sure.
Just a little too dark for a girly pageant.
Ava is changing into 50s wear and she is exhausted because she skipped her nap. Well, I know how I get when I miss my nappy nap, so I feel for this kid as she whines and cries and screams. Again.
I usually act like this BEHIND the wheel.
