Tonight’s Top 10 Shows: Monday December 31

Watercooler

Monday December 31

PSY’s (December 31, 1977; age 35) birthday is today.  I think he is famous for some song.  I don’t think it’s too popular.  Very underground.

iHeart Radio Music Festival (8PM, The CW)  Featuring previously unaired moments.

I hope it’s not more music.

Enchanted (8PM, NBC)  Banished by an evil queen, a princess from a fairy-tale world lands in modern Manhattan, where music, magic and “happily ever after” are sorely lacking.

Basically, NBC is just throwing anything taking place in Manhattan on television tonight.

How I Met Your Mother (8PM, CBS)  Reruns

Dad, you told us this story already.  Get on with it.

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Celebrates Dick Clark (8PM, ABC)  Remembering the legendary television personality; Fergie and Jenny McCarthy host.

I bet Jenny McCarthy will blame his death on vaccines.

A Few Good Men (8PM, Bravo)  Navy lawyers defend two Marines accused of killing a private at the naval station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Of all the things I expected Bravo to air on New Year’s Eve, “A Few Good Men” was #279 on my list.  Although, the first 214 were “Real Housewives” marathons.

The Mob Doctor (9PM, FOX)  When Constantine receives a champagne bomb, he and Celeste try to figure out who wants him dead.

If they’re turning champagne into explosives, alcoholics are in trouble.

Cake Boss: Next Great Baker (9PM, TLC)  New Year’s Eve, Hoboken Style

Those cakes are going to be watered down.

New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly (10PM, NBC)  The countdown to 2013 begins in Times Square.

NBC is really trying to make Carson Daly work.  It’s like when a parent keeps employing their son in roles they aren’t qualified for.

Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013 (10PM, ABC)  A bicoastal celebration counts down to midnight and features special performances.

Just like television to turn a ten second countdown into a two hour extravaganza…hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Andrew Dice Clay: Indestructible (10PM, Showtime)  New Standup Special

Is “Celebrity Apprentice” supposed to revive careers?

It’s pretty swank. It’s also pretty sad that I got a bunch of other really cool (much more expensive) presents, but the $15 mug is definitely my favorite.

So, with the New Years celebration last night, how long until Psy’s 15 minutes are up?
