I’m seriously bumming about tonight being the very last episode of House. I’ve gone to my BFF’s house to watch every single episode since it first aired, barring the two years that I lived 90 minutes away, and this is the end of an era for us. Share your favorite (and least favorite) House moments in the comments.
Dancing With the Stars (ABC 8pm) The final three couples perform for the judges.
And those three couples are: Katherine and Mark, William and Cheryl, and Donald and Peta. I’m not sure who in these pairings are the “stars.”
America’s Got Talent (NBC 8pm) Auditions continue in New York.
I love how terse NBC’s descriptions are for their competition/talent shows. Like whoever writes them up is embarrassed about it but realizes that it has to be done, but they’ll be damned if they put any more time into it than is absolutely necessary.
House (Fox 8pm) Finale: A look back at the story so far; while treating a patient addicted to drugs, House is forced to look at his own life, future and personal demons.
I’m really hoping that for the very last episode it will be lupus!
The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family 8pm) News spreads fast regarding Amy’s wedding date, along with a rumor about Anne.
Perhaps because they’re all still teenagers…? Just a thought.
The Bachelorette (ABC 9pm) The bachelors learn they are being tested on their promise as parents; the bachelors take advantage of every opportunity to score points with Emily when they learn that some of them won’t get a date before the rose ceremony; Gloriana performs.
It would be great if the show actually operated on a points system, with the bachelors having no idea what they were and weren’t awarded points for. So like, enjoying asparagus would earn you a point, but using mint-flavored floss loses you a point.
American Ninja Warrior (NBC 9pm) The top 30 finishers from the southwest region preliminary round take on a more challenging course.
So glad to see that the quality summer programming is back!
Eureka (SyFy 9pm) Henry conducts a preparedness drill that winds up a disaster.
At this point, I think the residents of that town are only surprised when events fail to end in disaster.
Clash of Commercials: USA vs. the World (ABC 10pm) Viewers choose their favorite American and international commercials; hosts Heidi Klum and Kevin Frazier; a performance from Cirque du Soleil’s “KÁ.”

Bethenny Ever After (Bravo 10pm) Things get heated when Bethenny has dinner with Louis, one of her father’s close friends.
Heated… how?
Money From Strangers (MTV 10:30) Stealing cookies; smashing a watermelon.
Gallagher’s legacy lives on!

Been in love with Hugh Laurie since I discovered Jeeves and Wooster. Fave House? Ask me to pick a favorite kid. Okay, well that one’s easy….
I cannot watch Bethenney anymore. I stopped 3-4 epis ago. It’s too much!
@SSC – I did say you could share your least favorite House moments. For me, it would be pretty much all of season 7. I seriously almost stopped watching it, I was so annoyed with the whole House/Cuddy “romance.” But then he drove his car into her dining room, and regained my love and devotion. I think my absolute favorite thing that happened on the show was when House found the student film that Wilson was in and turned it into a porno. My BFF and I laughed so hard, we almost hyperventilated. Good times.
Okay. Couldn’t watch the romance. But I put that down to jealousy. Thought I was just being small.
Watching it with a bestie would have been terrific. We lived half an hour drive from any of my friends, so getting together in the evening for tv was out of the question. You are so lucky, and I know that you appreciate it.
@SSC – It may have been jealousy, but that relationship was absolutely preposterous. It wasn’t romance, and it took all of the fun out of dysfunction. Such a better show when he’s single and cantankerous!
I stopped watching ‘House’ a while ago but watch an episode every now and again when there isn’t anything else to watch. I will be watching the final episode (actually, when ever it is posted online) because it has become somewhat of a pop culture item.
‘Secret Life of the American Teenager’ – I started watching this show recently, thanks Netflix streaming. I have to admit I started because my cousin is a regular on the show and she asked if I have ever seen the show. Family guilt got the better part of me and I started. It is an okay show but the way the ‘teenagers’ treat and talk to their parents & adults in the show is horrific. Every single episode, there is something said/done that makes me question the current high school generation and afraid for the future. I really hope it is just the writers and teenagers today are not this awful.
Re: House – We’ve been House followers since the beginning, but after the House/Cuddy awful romance, I haven’t had much interest until this last season. Anyhoo, last month I was diagnosed with lupus, and guess what my husband said to me? Yep – “It’s never lupus!”
Unfortunately for me, it appears to be.
@carol – as the parent of a high school freshman, I’m going to have to say that yes, a lot of high school kids are pretty awful, and their parents seem to tolerate if not expect it.
@CynTV – bummer about your lupus. In the House-i-verse it wasn’t lupus yet again tonight. I feel slightly ripped off.
Is there somewhere quiet we can go for an anti-mortem? I loved the send ups of Twain and Doyle (with Wodehouse tossed in just for me). I was also appreciative of the fact that Cuddy was not involved.
