Tonight’s Top 10 Shows: Wednesday December 19

Watercooler

Wednesday December 19

When looking up birthdays, I literally found him described as the “sensitive actor in Bubble Boy”.  - Jake Gyllenhaal (December 19, 1980; age 32)

The X Factor (8PM, FOX)  The remaining finalists perform.

Too bad that there isn’t a crossover episode where the winner of The X Factor and The Voice enter a Thunderdome arena for one unification recording contract.

The 2012 Miss Universe Competition (8PM, NBC)  Women from around the world vie for the crown in the annual pageant.

Thank God this is nothing like the Mr. Universe Competition.

Full Throttle Saloon (9PM, TruTV; Premiere)  One patron passes out while another pulls a knife on security

It’s hard for me to take the name of a bar seriously when it shares it’s name with a Charlie’s Angels sequel.  They probably pass out the knives.

Amish Mafia (9PM, Discovery)  Lebanon Levi and his crew run a secret MMA barn fight.

First rule about Amish Fight Club: Don’t talk about Amish Fight Club… All right, turn the cameras on.

Toddlers & Tiaras (9PM, TLC; Premiere)  Glitz newbies Selena, 3, and Mackenzie, 6, face fierce Faithlyn, 9, at the Carolina Queens Pageant in Columbia, South Carolina.

If a mother says she is going to name her daughter Faithlyn, I’ll allow third trimester abortions.

The Year with Katie Couric (9:30PM, ABC)  Celebrities, newsmakers and special guests reflect on the events of 2012.

If this show opens up with Gangnam Style, I’m shooting myself.  Also, I don’t think they could have gotten anyone more irrelevant in 2012 to host this show.

Chicago Fire (10PM, NBC)  An expensive necklace goes missing at the scene of a fire, leading to an internal investigation.

They were going to split the money from the sale.  Greedy bastard.

The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons (10PM, MTV)   Two teams deal with weak links.

Should have trimmed the fat, bro.

Top Chef: Seattle (10PM, Bravo)  An entire pantry wrapped in aluminum foil in the Quickfire.

Seems like a waste of aluminum foil.  Budget too low to buy new food?

Cheer Perfection (10PM, TLC)  Back-to-school is coach Alisha Dunlap’s favorite time because it marks the start of cheerleading season.

Yo, I love the first day, son.  Everybody all friendly and shit.
