Tonight’s Top 10 Shows: Weekend Edition

Watercooler

“I am a greedy, selfish bastard. I want the fact that I existed to mean something.”  - Harry Chapin (December 7, 1942 – July 16, 1981)

Friday December 7

Kitchen Nightmares (8PM, FOX)  Ramsay goes to Massachusetts to help a married couple improve their restaurant, Barefoot Bob’s.

Living in Boston for four years, I would advise against anything that involves the word barefoot.  There has to be a gap in logic there.

Fringe (9PM, FOX)  Olivia comes across a woman who is like an oracle, as she works to locate an important piece of equipment for Walter.

Dead giveaway: Does she believe in spoons?

Saturday December 8

The American Giving Awards (8PM, NBC)  Festivities in Pasadena, Calif., honor deserving charities in the United States

There’s an oxymoron if I ever heard one.

Sunday December 9

The Amazing Race (8PM, CBS)  Contestants face a terrifying roadblock inspired by Houdini.

One contestant on each team must die of appendicitis.

Sunday Night Football (8:20PM ET, NBC)  Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

People say Calvin Johnson has beaten the Madden Curse.  He still has to play for the Lions though.

Family Guy (9PM, FOX)  When Meg learns her crush is gay and interested in Chris, she uses her brother to get closer to him.

Because if anybody is going to turn a gay man, it’s Meg Griffin.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta (9PM, Bravo)  Cynthia and Peter decide to fill Kim and Kroy’s place with Porsha and her husband, Kordell Stewart.

How much has Kordell Stewart eaten since retiring that he can fill a house?

Dexter (9PM, Showtime)  Dexter discovers that the man behind his mother’s death has been released from prison.

Somebody’s looking to bury that Oedipal Complex once and for all.

Homeland (10PM, Showtime)  Unexpected circumstances put Saul’s career in jeopardy.

Not as fun as making a career on Jeopardy.

The Shahs of Sunset (10PM, Bravo)  MJ talks with a therapist about her issues with her mom and realizes there are more than she’d thought

Now she knows why her mom kept forcing a basketball into her hands.
