Tonight’s Top 10 Shows: Weekend Edition

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.”  - Michael Jordan (February 17, 1963; age 50)

As a bonus I’m including All Star Weekend separately.  I’ll put the same amount of effort in the All Star Game and the same amount of talent in the Dunk Contest into this joke…

Celebrity Game (7PM ET, ESPN, Friday)

Rising Stars Challenge (9PM ET, TNT, Friday)

All Star Saturday Night (8:30PM ET, TNT, Saturday)

All Star Game (8PM ET, TNT, Sunday)

Saturday February 16th

Beyonce: Life is But a Dream (9PM, HBO)  Profile of the life and career of the singer, entrepreneur and actress.

The very idea that auto-biographies (or auto-documentaries) are considered to be factual documents is a little silly.  Who would be more biased about you than yourself?

Sunday February 17th

Amazing Race (8PM, CBS; Season Premiere)  Three teams quit during the first sweltering roadblock.

Looks like the season is taking the Fast Forward.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta (8PM, Bravo)  Phaedra, Apollo, Kandi and Todd have dinner together.

As the waiters Roshambo to decide who has to take the table.

Shahs of Sunset (9PM, Bravo)  Details of MJ’s criminal past are uncovered.

They are finally arresting Ocean’s Eleven.

The Walking Dead (9PM, AMC)  Rick searches for a lost friend

I did that some years ago, except it was a ‘Lost’ friend.  A zombie apocalypse is a good a time as any to catch up on old shows.

Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (9PM, E!)  Episode Title: 2 Klose 4 Komfort

Cill M3.

Trapped in the Closet (9PM, IFC)  R. Kelly’s bold hip hopera is a bold, humorous and dramatic journey through Chicago with an interesting cast of characters who are connected by a mysterious package.

If you have 3 hours to watch 33 music videos…we would probably be best friends.

Girls (9PM, HBO)  Hannah signs an e-book deal.

She’ll love it when she receives that first check for $5.02.

Shameless (9PM, Showtime)  Frank has a major problem when the city announces it will be doing work on the main sewer and they’ll be digging up his yard, where Aunt Ginger’s remains are located.

Just say it’s Jimmy Hoffa.  That’ll work, right?

Californication (10PM, Showtime)  Marcy’s man-hating spiritual guide influences an important decision about Stu.

This is not going to be a good day for Ned Ryerson.

I know the zombie apocalypse is upon us, but if you worked on your cardio like you were told, you can take the time to like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TVGasm

Why can’t there ever be anyone that I know in the slam dunk contest…it is for ALL STARS isn’t it. If I don’t know who you are then how are you an all star…

@Classy, that is so true right?!?! I have not watched basketball in such a long time! I am a supporter of Seattle Sports! But Lets be honest here, I am So. Ready. For. NASCAR!!! The Sprint Unlimited is tomorrow. That used to be the Budweiser Shootout. Why Sprint had to go and change it is beyond me. I also can’t wait for the Daytona 500 next week!! Sad that we won’t be in Vegas in March…Take it from me, if you like to people watch, a NASCAR race is the place to do it :)

Buggs…I actually watch basketball and most times I still don’t know the guys in the slam dunk contest. Anywho…I went to school in Alabama so I’ve been to the race in Talladega and now that I’m in Atlanta I’ve been to the Atlanta Motorspeed way. And yes, that is good people watching.

@classy- I have been to AMS but not during a race weekend. Went while I was visiting in ’06. I have also been to Charolett. Again while visiting. But we took the tour and we able to go around the track. We were in an Econoline 12 passenger Van. But that was still a great day. We actully got caught in a snowstorm so all flights were cancelled. Got to stay an extra few days. I’d say best/fun track has to be Vegas. Worst might be AutoClub in CA.

The BS with the Kings is really starting to make me mad. Last year Sacramento gave them the ok, but the Maloofs said fuck that. Now an investment group in seattle has already purchased a space. Is going to shell out more money to upgrade Key Arena while the nee location is being built and the mayor of Sacramento wants to be a dick and find new people. After the deal was signed and chris hanson gave the maloofs 30 million up front…bullshit!
