Patricia is the next to request check. She too, has a few steaks underweight and is also DQ’d.
Lorena is giddy that Patricia is DQ’d. She is also planning to eat her young after she is done grating this cheese.
Takashi calls for check and everything looks good, so he will go on to cook for the Quick Fire Win.
It’s down to Lorena vs Kerry. Patricia cheers on Kerry!! Finally, Kerry calls check and his work is ok’d.
It will be Kerry vs Takashi for the Quick Fire win!
Kerry doesn’t think he stands a chance against the Quick Fire Ninja.
Hot Stone will judge, along with the DQ’d chefs and Lorena.
Kerry prepares Parmesan encrusted filet with wilted arugula. Kerry begins to cook his meat, but his pan isn’t hot enough… he then begins a second pan and puts some steaks on the grill. He wants to make sure he covers all of his bases.
The judges think his meat is perfectly cooked and his sage brown butter sauce is great.
Takashi the Quick Fire Ninja is making Beef Tenderloin withProvencale vegetables and a sunny-side-up egg.
The Judges would have liked to have had the yolk be a little more runny, but agree that it’s amazing that he cooked potato and eggplant, beautifully, in 15 minutes.
The winner of this Quick Fire is: Kerry. He has won $5k for his charity and immunity from elimination. Chris can’t believe that Kerry spanked the Elimination King!!! (personal note: ☹ I love Takashi)
This week’s Elimination Challge, Curtis asks “Who is the heavyweight of the kitchen?” Hottie notes that Las Vegas is the center of the Boxing world and introduces Sugar Ray Leonard.
SRL states that a great fighter and a great chef are similar. Both need to be able to think on their feet. This week the chefs will be duking it out in the Top Chef Masters Ring.
