Curtis asks Art what his favorite B-52s song is, and Art replies “Rock Lobster and Love Shack… because they came out, when I came out!!”
The judges choose their favorites:
Lorena’s spicy grilled cauliflower salad with lemon vinaigrette, tear drop tomatoes and hearts of palm is a “tingling taste sensation.”
Tin Roof Rusted
Thierry’s Beet, corn, baby arugula, blueberry salad with rice vinaigrette” is beautiful. Kerry’s Salade Russe is a great combination. Their overall favorite? Lorena’s smokey cauliflower!!
Suck it Gringos, I won!
Lorena has won $5,000 for her charity “Alliance for a Healthier Generation.” Oh, and immunity.
Moving onto the Elimination Challenge, Curtis brings out Louise Benson, the head of the Hualapai Tribal Council.
The Tribe has spoken
Whoops, that’s not her, that’s Jeff Probst- head of that OTHER Tribal Council
This is Louise. The Hualapai Tribal Council is a native American council the bring tribal elders together to pass on their culture and traditions to younger members of their tribe. They pass on food, medicine and craft to the children as a way of keeping their culture alive. Something ALL cultures should do, in my opinion.
The Chefs will work in Teams of 2 and they will make 1 dish to serve, family style, to the critics as well as members of the Hualapai Tribe. They will be cooking outdoors, using traditional Hualapai ingredients, and will be serving their meal on the western edge of the Grand Canyon. And they will getting there “Bachelor Style” via Helicopter- for the most dramatic rose ceremony in Bachelor history.
Coming up on this week’s Bachelor…
Art has never ridden in a helicopter before! Hmm, I thought, for sure, he would have ridden in one with Lady Gaga or Queen Oprah.
Ingredient and Weapon in one!!
But I digress… they have to draw knives for their protein and vegetable.
• Art and Lorena pull: Quail and Prickly Pear
• Takashi and Thierry pull: Venison and Banana Yucca
• Patricia and Chris pull: Rabbit and Squash
• Kerry and Clark pull: Beef and Corn (sounds like the easy one, but we’ll see)
Famous last words
Clark thinks he will have an edge on this one because growing up, his father did a lot of work with the Native American culture. And Debbie thought burning the bejesus out of cabbage was a brilliant idea in episode 2. Famous last words, Clark, famous last words.
They all head to the heliport but there is one problem… Takashi is afraid of heights. Very afraid of heights.
Pass the barf bag
