Chris says more sweet stuff and then says he’s looking forward to seeing where they go in the future. Melissa agrees and they kiss.
Will they make it?
Melissa gets the word graceful inscribed on the back of her necklace, but I personally think she still has a way to go.
The girls have all graduated, so Steve brings out his mother to say a few words to the girls. She was really back burner this season and did not interact with the girls much at all. Oh how I long for the days when she invaded the girls’ rooms and confronted them with their nastiest personal items. She doesn’t have much to say but to wish the girls well.
I am totally loving her dress!
The show ends with a group hug and the campers milling around as each one says good-bye one at a time. Since there won’t be a reunion show, I’m very grateful that as the girls walk out, we get a follow up on what has happened with them and their experiments after Tough Love.
The first to be profiled is Danielle, who must have agreed to appear in another interview at some point, because that is when she receives her necklace, which says classy. She tells us she knows better than to tolerate low standards now and she wants to find a man who will take care of her. The producers tell us that when she went back to Atlanta, she did not pursue a relationship with Kevin other than the usual parenting stuff they have always done. She never saw Corey again but does have a new guy in her life.
Melissa is the first girl to depart the group hug and as she leaves we find out that since boot camp, Chris has visited Boston twice and she’s on her way to New Orleans.
I swear to God she’s always got a foot out the door. Man up girl!
Despina goes next and we find out that she and Austin are still going strong. Not only that, he’s considering a move to Boston to be closer. Sounds like things are going to work out for them.
This softer Despina is so beautiful, it’s no wonder her relationship deepened.
As Shalana exits, we find out that she and Aubrey couldn’t agree on their future and they are no longer dating. This saddens me, but it does not surprise me.
I hope it doesn’t return her back to her bitter ways.
Apparently after Donna finished bootcamp she spent time with George W in New Orleans but things didn’t work out. The good news is that she is back in New York and in a committed relationship. So many questions… is he younger? Is she still on the baby train or has she decided to let it go?
Is she pursuing open mic night??? Ugh, I need more info!
Stephanie leaves and we find out that she and Good John are still going strong, despite it being a long distance relationship. So awesome!
Good work, girlfriend!
Elizabeth departs with such sweet and heartfelt appreciation for boot camp that I catch myself tearing up. She tells Steve and JoAnne they have no idea what they have done for her.
It’s so sweet, it even gets Steve choked up.
Apparently after boot camp, Liz went back to New York and is getting settled living as an independent woman for the first time in years. She and Carl are planning a vacation together after she gets settled. Hopefully it will work for them,
but even if it doesn’t she’s going to be so
much better off than she was before.
If you like it, spread it!:

Luscious, your final comment on the show capsulizes what made me love it…it is indeed important for women to see a show about women who are not trying to undermine each other. So true, so true. Reality show spend so much time reinforcing that ugly stereotype about women that the show is so refreshing.
Love your recaps, and the fact that you really cared abbot these girls and wanted them to succeed. Thank you!
Seconded! I don’t watch the show, but I do read the recaps (even though I never comment on them.) It hadn’t really occurred to me that this is probably the only reality show that cares more about truly enhancing the participants’ lives rather than just exploiting the drama. Thanks for such a well-recapped season.
I love this show and I love Steve and his mother and I also love the non-competitive relationships fostered among the women. But tell the truth: doesn’t anyone else think that Melissa is actually a stripper who answered a casting call to play ‘The Virgin’? Seriously? Just me?
This was my first season watching this show & I really liked it one reason being they were supportive of each other. I didn’t realize this until my husband watched the show with me but he said doesn’t Despina look like a real life version of Lois Griffin from Family guy. Dye her hair red and you’ve got a dead ringer.
I must say, Luscious, you did a great job recapping this season’s Tough Love. There wasn’t a single moment where I wasn’t pulling for these girls (except that Tiffany chick).
And I do agree that we need more shows like this one, because if I have to see one more bint bawling over some washed-up Z-list celeb not paying attention to her, I will lose my mind.
That is why I loved You’re Cut Off as well. It was nice to see a transformation in the women. Thanks for tackling this last episode for us Luscious.
It finally hit me why Elizabeth had to go to a hotel in the last episode. That guy was paying the rent on her place. Very wise of her not to take her new man there.
Can’t wait for the next season. How about a reunion of all the girls in the mean time Steve and JoAnn?
Boo, I am running out of recaps to read..
