VIDEO: SYTYCD: The Exorcist

By Flipit | | 9:40 am | 15 Comments

SYTYCD came back to our TVs last night! Did you guys watch?? There were some pretty great all around auditions, but the one everyone’s talking about this morning is the freak who can take your pain and fear away, “Exorcist style”. Don’t know what that means? You will after watching this! You’re welcome.

What did you think of the show?

Ronnie Karam has been with TVgasm since 2006 , which has given him the opportunity to make fun of hundreds of TV's most loved and hated reality whores. His plan in life was to be Julia Roberts but that plan was stolen by, well, Julia Roberts. He'll get you one day, JULIA ROBERTS!! When not making himself giggle for the gasm, Ronnie performs improv and sketch comedy at IO West in Hollywood a couple of times weekly while using the lovely California days to audition for commercial roles such as "ADORABLE MEXICAN UNCLE". Seriously. He would like to thank Jesus, Buddha and Xenu for the blessings they've bestowed. The writers here are the best around, and he's honored to be associated with them. I am so glad its back !!!!!!! Exorcist dancer was much better that expected. I thought we were in for a freak interlude but no—happy to be proved wrong. The kid whose mom attempted suicide and the kid whose mom is going blind were awesome. As was the girl from Texas with her 2 kids. I am buckled in for the season !!!!!!!!

I’m happy that they didn’t really show many freaks last night. Hopefully they keep this up for the rest of auditions.

@hot cawfee The little girl was so cute. I was expecting hop around or twirl, it was hilarious how she imitated her mom.

I’m loving how all these ballet dancers are following the example of the never-to-be-matched Alex Wong =D Wanting to learn other dance styles and using a national platform to do it! hee!

I was bawling at the little girl! Just too adorable for words… And they really played up the zombie and exorcist dancers as if they were goofs, but they both brought it! And who could have possibly thought the exorcist dancer wasn’t just talking…that was amazingly cathartic!

Psyched for the season! THANK YOU for the recap!!!

I don’t watch this show so I expected the clip to be a train wreck but he was really powerful! That was some amazing control he had over his body movements. And he’s from Richardson, which is where I work! Good luck to him.

I really enjoyed watching last night. The zombie and the exorcist were two of my fav non- traditional dancers. But, like hot cawfee, the two guys (with the suicidal mom and the one who is going blind) were the standouts of traditional dance.

I was convinced that this guy was going to be a total joke. ESPECIALLY after the zombie dude. So glad he wasn’t!

I’ll save the rest of my thoughts for my recap!

@hot cawfee I loved her trying leap and do floor work. Seeing adorable stuff like that is why I’m only 85% sure I never want to have kids.

    @PottyMouth Yay, I can’t wait for it!

I don’t know why everyone was crying though.

@chaos, I didn’t cry watching this routine, but the son dancing for his blinding mother made me get a lump in my throat. It was sweet, joyful, and sentimental yet upbeat. I loved it in spite of his suspenders.

Love this show, loved this episode. So glad that Pottymouth is recapping again this year. Now, if she would just get to it! :-)

I’ll admit, I cried a little…it just a very emotional routine…you could tell that he was really putting basically EVERY SINGLE THING HE HAD into the movements…plus, you pair anything with “All of Me” and I’m done…seriously…

“The four right chords can make me cry” line from Semi-Charmed Life was about me! Third-eye Blind told me so!

This is the one show where I LOVE watching the auditions the most. Once they pick the final 20 I start to lose interest. This first night was fantastic because there was so many differences. Love it!

This was one of the more powerful dance routines I’ve ever seen. Yeah, he got me a little verklempt.

That was amazing. This was one of the few times that I don’t mind cutaways to the audience. To see how deeply he affected all of them. And then everyone gave him back the energy because they wanted not just to show their appreciation, but to give him something back. I’m kind of thinking he should just be the honorary dancer for SYTYCD and not even compete. That way he can do his own thing every episode rather than whatever arbitary style.
