TV Patrol: "Flash Forward"

"What the hell just happened?"

One one new show premiering tonight, Flash Forward on ABC at 8pm. Let's talk about it.....

I'm pressed for time today, so this will be short. Lots to do. First off. what did you all think of the new shows last night. I was pleasantly surprised by Cougar Town on ABC. I really thought it was funny. Maybe because I can relate, being a sexy cougar myself. (okay, so I'm not, but I know women who are.) Modern Family has potential for improvement. They were just setting us up last night, but I think I'm going to like it. Eastwick sucked ass. It started out really good, but fell apart. It's like it doesn't know whether to be campy (which it should) or dramatic (which it shouldn't).

The cast of Flash Forward

Now Flash Forward is just that. The people on earth are suddenly thrust into the future & see what they've become. Like Marty McFly said to Doc Brown: "What? Have we become assholes or something?" This trip to the future lasts exactly 2 minutes, 17 seconds. When they return, things are in utter chaos. Cities are destroyed & millions have died in accidents during their blackout. The rest are left to deal with the knowledge of what will happen to them. The critic are comparing this to the premiere of LOST six years ago. I'm being a sceptic about that. I'm taking the "wait & see" approach & hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Changes?

ABC also has the 6th season, 2-hour premiere of Grey's Anatomy at 9pm. The cliffhanger ending from last season which resulted in the death of T.R. Knight's character George, will center on remembering him while his mother (Debra Monk) decides what to do with his organs.

CBS, of course, has Survivor: Samoa at 8pm. The new villian is suppose to be bald-headed Russell, not to be confused with dread-lock Russell. I think hillbilly Ben is the true villian, just waiting for his chance to fuck everything up.

"Haha Phil! I've won TWO Emmys!"

CSI premieres it's 10th season tonight at 9pm. Jorja Fox rejoins the cast as Grissom's squeeze, Sara, for 5 episodes this year. (Guess she couldn't find work elsewhere). I still love this show & can't wait to watch it.
The huge ratings hit, The Mentalist starts it's second season tonight at it's new time slot, 10pm. This puts it directly up against The Jay Leno Show. Who do you think will win?

Speaking of The Jay Leno Show on NBC, his guest tonight is Rush Limbaugh...zzzzzzzzz. Okay, some of you might want to hear what Rush has to zzzzzz... oh sorry, say.
All new episodes of SNL Weekend Update Thursday at 8pm, Parks & Recreation at 8;30pm, The Office at 9pm & Community at 9:30pm. I'm hoping Joel McHale's show is better this week. I really want it to do well.

FOX is airing a new Bones at 8pm & a new Fringe at 9pm.

The CW has The Vampire Diaries at 8pm & Supernatural at 9pm.

God he's hot!

Oh & don't forget Project Runway on Lifetime at 10pm!

Sorry this is so brief & a little late. Hope you have a chance to decide what to watch & what to DVR. My "Pick of the Night" is a toss-up between Fast Forward & CSI. Which would you prefer?

love

chooch, I just wrote the same thing about Ben in the forum!! GMTA. :D

I skipped FlashForward last night, but I've got it set to record tonight. I love when networks repeat new shows on the weekend; it gives me a chance to check them out without sacrificing anything I want to watch so I can see if I like it. That's how I got hooked on Glee!
