And the radio silence may have something to do with this being the lamest, least successful tour yet (and that's despite the fact the the US Navy allowed Phil Stacey to appear!). While Simon Cowell makes headlines with plans for an Idol-themed movie and auditions for the next season are underway, the tour has been a bit of a dud, and has the bad timing to limp into the Excel Energy Arena in St. Paul-Minneapolis Saturday night, days after the tragic bridge collapse.
And a pair of prime floor-seat tickets with face value of $70 each have sold on eBay for...
...five dollars and seventy five cents.
Sez the owner of a local ticket agency: "This has been the weakest seller so far" of all the Idol tours. "It comes down to who the Idols are, and this year nobody seems to care about them."
It's real bad news for ticket scalpers, who were hoping to clean up in the open for the first time-- because ticket-scalping became legal in Minnesota on Wednesday.
Maybe it's time for Jordin to start proselytizing to get some attention!
