As many of you know, Yahoo has been sponsoring a well-publicized contest to pluck one lucky woman out of anonymity and place her alongside Justin Timberlake on this Sunday's Grammy Awards where they'll sing some sort of earth-shattering duet. I think they've whittled the field down to twelve or six finalists -- I don't know. I honestly stopped paying attention after my friend Ellyn was rudely given the snub. You see, Ellyn submitted her own video for the contest, and for a long-ass time, she was #1 in the rankings. That's right, out of the 3,000+ submissions, she was in the lead. And yet, for some unknown reason, she was unceremoniously denied a chance to move on. I just can't imagine why!
Well, with the awards coming up in just a few nights, I'm determined to give Ellyn the broader audience she deserves. Please enjoy this clip of her powerful and emotional performance.
