Filling the gap and probably taking their salaries is TV perennial John Larroquette. He won't reprise his Emmy-winning role from The Practice (from which Boston was spun off), but play an attorney from the law firm's New York City office.
And while the contract options weren't picked up, other contracts were written up or upgraded at the ABC dramedy:
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, who got the scoop, also says that Tara Sumemrs from Dirt will join the show as an associate. And Christian Clemenson, who plays Jerry, will be promoted on the show, if not in the law firm, to series regular.
The Shat and Spader are safe. But you knew that.
Along with surviving costar Candice Bergen (right) they're pictured above with (from left) Auberjonois, Bowen and Valley.
