A quick jaunt over to the Bunim/Murray casting website will likely result in online speculation as to WTF is going on for the 20th anniversary of The Real World even before the 18th season finishes airing and the 19th season completes shooting. The show which, ever since Vegas, has attracted primarily partiers and aspiring actors/models etc, is now blatantly accepting aspiring fill-in-the-blanks. The season is also going to be in a "major metropolitan city" according to the casting notice.
After the jump, find the screen-grab from the website which will fuel speculation. . . since it seems they are looking for "artsy folk" my guess is somewhere in Italy. Isn't that where artists go to find themselves?
Thoughts?

I'm going to start the speculation with saying that I suspect that they will probably be going to do the back to.... thing again since they did it with New York for the 11th season. I also think that the show needs a breath of fresh-air after all these almost Vegas seasons.
I think that it would be really interesting for them to not give the people a job and follow them as they audition or interview for different positions and start their lives as young adults rather than it being a 4 month frat party. I also think that the fact that they are looking for artistic types and people with strong ambitions suggests that this might be the case. In that vain I think that it could be either : New York (3rd strike) or back to L.A. because they are saying it's in a large metropolitan area. Though I suspect that since Vegas has been the season with the best ratings so far and because they re-ran it in december, they might just go back there again too.
So those are my predictions: back to NYC, LA or Las Vegas.

word on the street over here is that the new real world house is in new haven! but it's defiently not a "major metropolitan city" and i'd be incredibly surprised if it was it.

It will be interesting to see them go back to the formula of the first few real worlds. Heck even as deep into real world Seattle they still had people that seemed to have goals beyond real world. But they definitely should get rid of the whole "job," thing and have people struggle a little.
I have a feeling it will be L.A. again. I don't see them doing NY again. New Haven no way!

Its confirmed that they will be shooting in detroit(royal oak) which is a 20 minute drive from the city and will have a job working in the city. Mtv Productions have already rented an 8,500 sq. foot place and are maping it out.
