Clipgasm: A Happy And A Healthy From Fran Drescher! Edition

122006
A Chanukah Celebration, KVCR, 12/19/06

The other night, I was trolling through the Tivo guide looking for something to watch when I stumbled upon an obscure PBS outlet. Just about to start was none other than A Chanukah Celebration, hosted by the inimitable Fran Drescher. I knew I had to record this ode to the Festival of Lights, but not because I was feeling like a particularly sterling Jew that night. No, it was because I knew it would be a train wreck. I'm still deciding whether or not it's embarrassing or brilliant. Probably embarrassing. Nevertheless, in this first clip, Fran welcomes us to the show with a lovely menorah anecdote. I personally enjoy how she suppresses all her "I am so yelling at my agent after this" rage in order to muster a fake giggle at the prospect of introducing the latest thrilling installment of "Mitzvah Mouse."

A second clipgasm is now up, and all I can say, is that it's pretty damn amazing.

Ms. Tumnus [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Wow. I hope most Chanukah shows aren't so painful. I'm still giggling.

I think I have to post a clip of Mitzvah Mouse later tonight.

Ubiquitous [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Does Fran have laryngitis or was she sedated before filming this? She usually talks like Gilbert Godfried!

Ms. Tumnus [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Oh please post Mizvah Mouse. I was hoping that the second clipgasm would star the (I can only assume) intrepid rodent.
