"When I initially committed to joining Dancing with the Stars, I didn't realize just how physically demanding it would be for me. Unable to put forth my best effort, I felt it appropriate to step aside and give someone else the opportunity. I'd like to thank ABC and the show's producers for inviting me to participate. I wish my partner, Edyta, and the other dancers the best of luck."
The Dancing website indicates that the 60-year-old won't be replaced (after Sara Evans last season, it's almost a tradition) but how will Heather Mills replace her missing leg?
Paul McCartney's one-legged estranged former porn model wife says she'll use a "strap" to make sure her articial leg doesn't "fly off"-- the way her clothes flew off in her early career as a "model"...
More of the story... and the Heather Mills photos that would make Antonella blush... after the jump...
Heather is is already using the show to become a sympathetic, heroic and loved figure here in the States (she's hated in her home country, England). And she's getting help from ABC. The Dancing promos have been hyping her as the celebrity with the "ultimate challenge" and she's getting more sympathy than Antonella as "the first contestant to compete with an artificial limb."
Heather lost the lower half of a leg in a traffic accident. She actually told Extra that she's determined "to keep her false leg firmly strapped in place.
"It's very unlikely my leg is going to fly off, although it would be quite funny. I'll have a strap on, which I wouldn't normally in every day life. I'm quite happy to be thrown around and hopefully my leg will stay on."
