It's one thing for an American Idol executive producer (Cecile Frot-Coutaz ) to assure Entertainment Weekly that Sanjaya Malakar won't win-- days before he's eliminated. But what's up with the scoring at Dancing with The Stars?
On last night's live show, wacky cohost Samantha Harris gave away Leila Ali's score before the judges made their official announcements.
Boy, did she have some 'splaining to do.
Here's a partial transcript of what went down:
Interviewing Laila Ali and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy after their cha cha, Samantha blurted: "That's a 28 out of 30 for Max and Laila..."
She continued to blather, only to stop short, listen to someone in the control room screaming in her earpiece, and then say:
"Of course, let's go to the scores."
After the judges "revealed" their scores (28 out of 30), Samantha gave a quick "explanation" of how she seemed to know the results before they were supposed to be decided:
"The judges put their scores right into their pads that are sitting there at their desks, and so, of course, I got to hear their score. I was so excited for them I let the cat out of the bag a little early. But that's how it works, folks."
And the show went on...
