It's Women's Day at FX
Which is impressive news, except that the network said in the same breath that Courtney Cox's Dirt will also come back for a second go-round in 2008.
The network's announcement of premiere date for Glenn Close's legal drama, Damages, is further evidence that the testosterone blast of The Shield and Rescue Me that put FX on the map is giving way to an injection of estrogen.

Courtney Cox hasn't actually been knocking over critics or wowing viewers playing a tabloid magazine editor in her Fx series, Dirt, so it was always a matter of time before she used her Friends connection and convinced David Schwimmer to play a celebrity caught with a live girl or a dead boy. But she must really be desperate because she's cashing in her biggest chit by convincing her real-life pal and tabloid sweetheart, Jennifer Aniston, to not only play her archrival-- but to go beyond.TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is floating this tidbit: "Aniston's character is a lesbian. What's more, she won't just mouth off to Cox's tightly wound counterpart; she's going to share a lip lock with her."
