'Little Fat Man' returns with 'Extras'

Ricky Gervais returns to HBO on Sunday night with the second season of Extras. The series picks up where the first season ended, with his character Andy Millman selling a sitcom to the BBC. But unlike Gervais' experience with The Office, Andy loses control of When The Whistle Blows. Funny? Check out the above clip, featuring David Bowie. Orlando Bloom guest stars Sunday. Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe and Diana Rigg also show up in the six-episode run.

Six episodes? What about a third season?

That's up in the air. See, these Brits have this annoying thing about quality over quantity. When Extras 2 debuted in the UK last fall, Gervais told the London Sun it was unlikely, saying he and his partner Stephen Merchant "always had this thing where we only like to do two series. It's like The Office -- people are always asking why we didn't do any more, but we just wanted to leave people wanting more. But after the second series had finished, he was quoted in The Mirror as saying there was "some mileage in it" and suggested there could be a third.

I'm in the middle of watching season 1 on DVD and this show (and that clip) is funny. I look forward to season 2 and to see which famous guest stars will make me laugh out loud.
