"We have been trying to figure out how to do that and the series at the same time without the series suffering,' he says, comparing his plight to The Simpsons' long road to cinemas, and admitting that his raunchy team hasn't come up with a script or plot-- or gotten the needed approval from Fox studio suits.
"Nothing's official," he says, but added that a flick based on The Simpsons' retarded cousin could be whipped up could be ready in a couple of years. And if it is, that he prefers something small for the big screen.
"I don't want to do 'The Griffins must save the world.'"
Meanwhile, the voice of Stewie says The Winner, the short-lived Rob Corddry sitcom he executive produced, might not be such a loser after all...
"It is looking like there could be a future life for The Winner. I hope it pans out," he said. But he didn't go into specifics when he grabbed some of The Simpsons spotlight at the Just for Laughs comedy fest in Montreal.
