Send a get well card to Merv Griffin

merv1.jpgmerv2.jpg

The dog days of summer aren't healthy for old talk show legends. Last August, we lost talk show legend Mike Douglas. Today, there's word that Merv Griffin, who went from married New York City talk show host to flamboyant West Coast billionaire bachelor game show magnate, is back in the hospital with prostate cancer.

Typically merry Merv faces The Reaper with this statement...

"I'd rather play Jeopardy! than live it. I was ready for a vacation; however, this wasn't the destination I had in mind."

Good use of the semicolon. Merv (who mde a fortune producing shows like Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune-- and says he hired Vanna White because he has a big head) is 82.

He's being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dick Cavett, call your doctor.

And send Merv a get well card c/o

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
8700 Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90048

Hey, who knows? Maybe he'll be touched and include you in his will.
