Jericho saved! P.S. Please stop sending nuts.

It's official. The "nuts" campaign worked.

CBS has announced this afternoon that it's ordered up seven episodes of the previously-cancelled Jericho, to air sometime in mid-season. And entertainment president Nina Tassler credited the fan protest for forcing the about-face, calling it "creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone." At last tally, they were up to 4,889 pounds.

Newsgasm: Jericho gets Lost

cbs-jericho.jpg

Jericho might have its mysteries, but it's no Lost, not yet anyway. But don't tell the programmers at CBS. The network is going to conclude the cliffhanging serial drama's "Fall Season" (that's a new one) after eleven episodes on November 28, then keep the show on hiatus for ten weeks. It's set to return Feburary 21st, with a Lost-style flashback, beginning with life in the small Kansas town before the country is bombarded with a nuke blasts.

So how is CBS going to keep fans hooked through the long nuclear winter?
