Multiple sources are telling me that CBS is this close to sealing a deal to bring Jericho back for at least eight episodes, possibly at mid-season. My spies caution that this is in no way official, but it certainly sounds like it could be by day's end. It's now just a matter of signing the actors to new deals and, according to one insider, finding a new soundstage to house the show's sets.
After CBS suits gave the show the axe, fans came up with idea of voicing their displeasure by sending bags of peanuts to the network -- because Skeet Ulrich's final word in the final episode of the series was "Nuts."
A savvy online nut dealer got into the act, and set up a webpage so fans could contribute to a group shipments to the network.
As of last word, they'd gathered 38,972 pounds of nuts for CBS.
