King of The Hill gets the royal treatment

kingofthehill.jpg

We just noticed that Mike Judge and company are getting a big vote of confidence now that their once-left-for-dead King of The Hill returns next month for its 11th season.

Fox announced that King will get the coveted 8:30 p.m. slot following The Simpsons. Seth MacFarlane's American Dad moves to 9:30, following Family Guy, which makes that the Seth MacFarlane Hour. (It was announced last month that The War At Home live-action cartoon gets booted to Thursdays).

And there's another big change in January:

Everything starts January 28th-- a week later than announced earlier (okay, so it's not that big).

King premieres with an episode called The Peggy Horror Picture Show, in which Peggy, feeling "unfeminine" because of her clothes and ginormous size-16 feet, befriends a woman she views as the epitome of womanhood. Well, the woman turns out to be a drag queen and hilarity is sure to ensue! Welcome back, King of The Hill! (And sorry about Idiocracy.)
