Tom Selleck may be moving to 'Las Vegas'

When NBC announced that James Caan was leaving Las Vegas to return to movies, word was the network was actually trying to save a few dollars for the series' next season. But apparently the remaining eye candy-- including Josh Duhamel, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil-- isn't enough, because they're now looking to replace the big guy with the one actor who can match Caan when it comes to acting chops, charisma and real-life tough guy credentials.

Tom Selleck.

Then again, everybody's Magnum, who gets a big, if ironic boost in Disney's new Meet The Robinsons, is in talks to play the "smart, powerful, fun-loving new owner" of the fictional Montecito Resort & Casino.

Caan played the head of hotel surveillance and security on our favorite sexy Vegas dramedy that's actually filmed in Culver City. So if it makes you more comfortable, you can say Selleck is actually replacing fellow TV lightweights Dean Cain or Lara Flynn Boyle, who both played Montecito owners.

The show also is looking to add another beautiful, busty female to replace Nikki Cox who also got the axe in February.
