As Madeyoulaugh pointed out in this morning's ratings wrap-up, the show averaged out a 6.5 rating in its new 10 pm perch.
Turns out that's Lost's lowest-rated show of the season-- down seven percent from the average-- despite all the publicity, despite the good reviews, and despite those Lost nuggets that were supposed to keep us hanging in.

Oh yeah, the lowest rating in the 7 episode-old season, after a long break, looks like Lost is getting canceled.

So it's being cancelled for winning it's time slot?

Could someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain to me how ratings and time slots are still relevant in this day and age of TIVO and DVR's???
Seriously there is not one show I watch during it's original time slot. Sometimes not even on it's given day. I mean come on...I record two shows at a time during a time slot on my TIVO...so I am tired of execs thinking the ratings mean anything...or that it matters what shows are up against each other.
Am I wrong here?
