Lost: Two more seasons?

lost.jpg

With Lost hitting a new peak with Wednesday's episode (fans in the Tabloid Baby offices have been in conversation and debate for days now), that Lost endgame we told you about back in January is in play-- and there are reports that ABC will soon announce a solid date for the final episode of the series and all its mysteries.

Word is that Lost will wind up with two new seasons beginning in January-- or something a bit short of two seasons, with the final epsiode in spring 2009.

The next season would be pushed back from the fall, so all the new episodes can air continuously, without the momentum- and ratings-killing hiatus like the one that threw things off balance last winter. ABC will probably also move the show forward an hour to its former 9 pm timeslot.

The latest word on the Lost plans-- along with the promise of a "gamechanger" in this season's finale-- comes from the gossips on the E! website, who have many pages to fil and often fill it with infornatrion on the fly that's not quite nailed down. In fact, the story has been fluid and shape-shifting for the past day or so, so stay tuned for an update.
