There were more than a few howls of protest when ABC pulled the plug prematurely on Day Break, the sci fi serial that was supposed to keep Lost fans tuned in during its long, chancy hiatus.

Day Break starred Taye Diggs as a detective who's framed for murder. Due to a "time loop," he lives the same day over and over and tries to find the real killer. The series premiered on November 15 and was cancelled a month later, with six episodes still unseen.
