Dumb idea? Some thought so. But apparently, the execs at NBC took us seriously, as they showed today in unveiling the
NBC PRIMETIME SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2007-08:

Of course, that late Friday night slot will make it even harder for the revived Lights to find an audience and spell an early end to the dream.
And notice: No Apprentice, though NBC Entertainment boss Kevin Reilly claims it's not dead and that "The show still has some kick in it." And no Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, which is officially cancelled. Reilly says, "The show had run its course." That it did.
