Tim Gunn gets a "sassy" sidekick

Someone at Bravo decided that Tim Gunn of Project Runway was too snooty and stylish to star alone in a show called Tim Gunn's Guide To Style, so they announced a search for a down-to-earth sidekick to make him more approachable-- sort of like the case of Bryant Gumbel and Katie Couric-- or The Brain and Pinky.

Now, with production underway this week in New York, they've found a second banana to keep him real. And who could be more down to earth than snooty former supermodel Veronica Webb-- or, as Bravo calls her, "supermodel, actress, writer, and journalist" Veronica Webb, brought into Tim's show to "add a little sass to his class."

Uh, We've met Veronica, who's a favorite of (Runway producer) Harvey Weinstein. "Sassy" isn't a word we'd use. Could they have confused her with Tyra Banks?

timgunn.jpgGuide to Style will be a spinoff of and promotional tool for Tim's new book, Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality Taste and Style (which also has a cowriter), and will feature Tim "counseling" the fashion-impaired and turning them into dapper dressers.

Trusty sidekick Veronica will lead "style-challenged" women on shopping challenges and pipe up with her own opinions as Tim completes the transformations.

Bravo's looking at a July 1st premiere for Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.

Sassy?
