The new live weekly series matches "mentors" like Tone Loc, Paul Wall and Warren G with eight "celebs" like Perez, to hone their rap skills before the wannabes embarrass themselves in front of a live audience and panel of judges.
Each week the contestants perform covers of famous rap songs, create original raps and face off in freestyle competitions. Viewers will vote for their favorite contestant and the "celeb" with the least amount of votes will be eliminated.
The series launches August 30th at 10 ET/PT.
