Mad Men and 30 Rock are cleaning up with Emmy nods! Mad Men got 16 nods, and 30 Rock got 22 nods. Both great choices. I know that some of you are saying, "Why so much 30 Rock?" I will say this...I love that show, and it's probably the best scripted half-hour on network television...so...that's my answer.
Other relevant Emmy news: Bravo got 12 Nominations (rightfully so), and for the first time in a long time Two and a Half Men didn't nominated for Best Comedy (thank God).

Um...hate to tell you, but Jon Cryer got a nom for Two And A Half Men (supporting actor, Comedy.)
I hate seeing so many nominations for shows that may be "critical darlings," but most people don't bother watching.
So glad to see Simon Baker get acknowledged (even if a network actor doesn't stand a chance of winning in that category.) He certainly deserves to win.
I wish Alex O'Laughlin had been nominated for his stint on Criminal Minds. They reran the episode last night, and it still gives me chills. His character is so different from others I've seen him play, and he is completely convincing.

i hope michael c hall will finally get is emmy for dexter! he is seriously mindblowing on that show. and i was SO surprised and excited when i saw that sarah silverman was nominated! she is HILARIOUS and i love her

I definitely think NPH is due to win! I also think Justin Timberlake is worthy of a win. My fave SNL episodes anymore are when he's hosting!

I agree about Alex O'Loughlin; I just saw that "Criminal Minds" and he was great. He had so much subtlety and sadness in that role, as well as being menacing.
As usual, the "Lost" actors got ripped off. There were several besides Michael Emerson who deserved noms.
It's great to see Jim Parsons get recognized for his great work on "Big Bang" and Simon Baker for "The Mentalist."

So happy for Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig's nominations, as well as Justin Timberlake's. SNL always seems to be good when he's hosting and both Amy and Kristen are hilarious.
