Walt Disney World in Florida is building an American Idol attraction. The "contestants" will go through the Idol audition, get a center stage performance, perform in front of the judges, and those that get a golden ticket will get to perform at one of the theme park's daily Idol grand finale shows. During their performance, the contestants will be competing against each other to win. One winner each day will be guaranteed a spot to perform for judges at a regional Idol audition.

So basically, the "attraction" is a breeding ground for the show, and will make it a lot easier to audition without standing in line at a stadium for three days. The only draw back, you have to go to Florida. Seems like a lot of work.

The Idol attraction is scheduled to open later this year. Now that's what I call brand awareness. Nice work Nigel.
