American Idol Is Suing Stripper Idol

stripper idol sued

FremantleMedia is suing the owners of the Palazio Men's Club in Texas over their "Stripper Idol" competition. Fremantle wants to collect "on all damages sustained and legal fees accrued from the suit." Really??? I understand Fremantle suing the strip club to not use their logo or font anymore, but they want money from the strip club too? They're really pissing on the little guy...whatever happened to their spirit of "Idol Gives Back"?

The worst part about it is that the Stripper Idols only get a $500 prize if they win the competition vs. the recording contract, and tour that the American Idols get. Poor strippers.

The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to think that the strippers are smarter than the American Idols.

Why Stripper Idols are smarter than American Idols:

1. They always think on their feet and set their own protocol...they're never singing someone else's song.

2. They spend little to no money on work clothes, which equals more spending money on "going out" clothes. The Idols have to dress themselves until they make the Hollywood round.

3. They don't have to claim their whole income on their taxes since they work for tips...thus not paying out their agents, managers, etc...

4. They won't need a bail-out since all they have is cash-flow.

5. They never have to worry about their back-up band, or rehearsals...all they need is a CD and a pole

6. They're true entrepreneurs

7. They're non-union, so they can work anytime, anyplace with no limitations.

8.. They work-out at work, which means they always have great abs...so they don't waste their money on a trainer, which means more money for "going-out" clothes (see number 2)

9. They know how to cover up blemishes

10. They never have to deal with identity theft since they go by stage names

Hey Fremantle, please leave the strippers alone, they're just trying to make an honest living...just ask them politely to change their font to wingdings, or comic sans and call it a day!
