Tanner Hall, a UPN pilot that never got made is now becoming an indie feature starring Amy Sedaris, Chris Kattan, and Tom Everett Scott. Can you believe it? Mango has risen from the trenches of touching the mangos, and A Night At The Roxbury. Guess who's directing it? Tatiana von Furstenberg (yes, daughter of Diane), and Francesca Gregorini (step-daughter of Ringo Starr). Before I go on further, can we say pressure to be artsy coming from those two families?
The story will be set in a boarding school about four teenage girls going through their adolescence. Story sounds typical, but cast doesn't, so it will be interesting to see what story will be told with this cast. If I directed the film, I would have Amy playing Jerri Blank as one of the girls and Chris being the gay teacher in his gold sequence, but one could only wish.
