Sorry itchy, but Michael Jackson was never found guilty in any court of law.

He has worked tirelessly as a humanitarian, created some of the most timeless music of the 20th century and, according to his ex-wife and children, was a fantastic father.

Why not give him the benefit of the doubt? He's dead now anyway, just let him be at peace. It's not your place to judge.

give it up and have respect for the people who have lost a member of their family who was loved dearly inspite of rumors or flaws

if anyone in your family dies im sure you would greatly appreciate their funeral being tarnished by indiscretions they may or may not have actually committed. i hope you have no drug addicts, rapists or shoplifters for that matter in your family because im sure u;d want to have a ceremony that didnt include discussing their past bumps in the road
i lost my dad a few months ago.. and while he did have a problem with heroine in his later years, i mourned the loss of someone who gave me so many positive childhood memories .. we lost a family member who meant the world to us.. and no one came to the funeral asking why we were mourning the loss of a hepatitis contracting drug addict

aside from that michael jackson is being remembered for his contribution to music. You can not argue that he did not have a talent and we have lost that no matter what people feel about his personal life.

Let's not be naive here: he was never convicted because he was a rich celebrity, and he threw millions at those families to keep things quiet and make it go away.

The willingness to excuse his behavior is just part of this society's blind worship of celebrity -- funny that anyone should bring god into it, since the MJ cult is just another example of idol worship.

In the end, he was nothing more than a freakish pop singer with a penchant for young boys.
