Kid Nation had no delivery. It was all hype, as we all knew it would be, but still curiosity killed the cat and I had to watch. CBS did a good job with the build up as they did last year with the Suvivor Racial divide and now Kid Nation and labor laws? The show was a waste of my time. It won it's time slot, but then again it was against Gossip Girl, and Top Model. I thought the show was a rip-off of every other reality show, but there was no vote-off. Heavens forbid, hurt the kids feelings.
Truthfully, I was bored and think the show should be on after Saturday morning cartoons. I will watch next week and give it one more chance, but they better re-shoot or something miraculous should happen, like the kids starting their own mariachi band or something.

I liked the show...the whole 'making a new society' is incredibly fake but I like the kids (some more than others). I wrote up a review. Check out my full review at reelfans.com.

i agree with feeling a connection with the kids (with their likability)...what's there not to like when it comes to kids. i will watch next week, but as far as expectations and the show, i thought it fell flat and i was bored. but then again, i guess there can't be too much scandal, they are kids after all. i'm curious to see where the show goes. time will tell, right?

I agree. It wasn't bad but I was a little bored. In fact I basically said the same sort of thing when I recapped it for the Gasm. According to the comments I received, it seems many beg to differ. Sticking with it through this week just like you. Fingers crossed!
