CMT's Really Pushing The Celeb Thing

What is with CMT trying to pick up left over shows from VH1 and every other network doing the celeb reality thing? I know they are a Viacom company, but please get off the hack band wagon of reality CMT, and do something original! They're doing a new show called, Outsider's Inn where Maureen McCormick, Bobby Brown, and Carnie Wilson (all veterans of Gone Country) try to run a bed and breakfast in Tennessee. They will do eight-episodes that will start off with Maureen McCormick leasing an inn with and option to buy...and she brings along her friends, Bobby and Carnie...and you know the rest.

Sounds awfully like, Tori Spelling's reality series...

I will say this, at least Dustin Diamond isn't involved in this one.

I don't understand what in the world is going on with CMT. They used to be the last bastion of actual music on a music channel. Now they're just as bad as VH1 and MTV, if not worse. They're all still owned by the same company, right?

What's happened to country music in general over the last decade just makes die-hard fans want to cry.
