CNN has decided to try it's hand in comedy. They are producing a comedy news show called, Not Just Another Cable News Show ala Weekend Update style that will feature celebs, dumb crimes, and political screw-ups.

News Show will pull from CNN's archived footage and current news footage. The hosts and commentators will be: L.A. Times columnist, Joel Stein, Time.com's Washington editor, Ana Marie Cox, Huffington Post media editor Rachel Sklar, Republican strategist Amy Holmes, and comedian Hugh Fink. I think it's good to have programming other than headline news all the time on CNN, but I hope Media editors and Republican strategist can bring the funny. Fingers crossed.
