She's been under scrutiny for crossing the picket lines. Her episode will air today when she comments about the writer's strike, and how she won't do a monologue.
She will come out and say, "I want to say I love my writers. I love them. In honor of them today, I'm not going to do a monologue. I support them and hope that they get everything they're asking for. And I hope it works out soon. In the meantime, people have traveled across the country. They've made plans. They're here. I want to do everything I can to make your trip enjoyable and give you a show."
Well, she may start to get a lot of heat for being so nice because her strikers are striking back. On Dan Tobin's blog I read that Ellen treated them like s#*t!
This particular writer continued to say that she would be all smiles during rehearsals of her sitcom and shooting, but as soon as the director would yell, "Cut," Ellen would yell, "Why don't you keep writing these unfunny jokes!" Also, she's been accused of stealing jokes, using other people's words in her book.
Ellen, you're in troubs if more people come forward!!! I just lost all respect. And to think I wanted to go to your X-mas show to get a give away. You can keep your free prizes and store them away. Tear.

I agree with you, but one person can tarnish a reputation. Personally I like Ellen, but if the rumors are true, I'll be sad.

ah, poor Ellen...
and why should she stop working for them... seriously
When I stop doing my kids laundry because I got sick of taking folded clothes out of their dirty clothes hampers it didn't mean I didn't feed them...... and now they do their own laundry... who won that one.hahaha
Oh my, back on track...
I am with Creme on this one... her sitcom was so many years ago and as in all comedy half hours... not the best written...
the show could have used a bit better writing...
he may have been a new writer who took things to heart a bit much...or he is just pissed that she is still working and he wants more support...
I would worry if he was writing for me now... what is he going to say in 15 years about me? IMHO.
I give the peeps who are keeping the shows going credit.... People gotta eat and it is not up to the whole industry to get you what you want....
I am more likely to watch a comedial like Kimmel or Ellen get up and do what they do with out the back up of a writer than to watch Fresh Prince of Belair reruns...
I applaud the writers for fighting for what they want but get off the backs of people who can do with out you and still entertain...
who wrote Ellens stuff when she frist took to the stage..
Ellen that's who!!!!!

I think it's great that Ellen's first loyalty is to her fans who may have spent hundreds of dollars on travel expenses to see her show. Why should she screw them over? If it weren't for the fans, the striking writers wouldn't have had a job in the first place.
