In more "Let's Pretend that the Country's Not Crumbling Before Our Very Eyes" news, Dora the Explorer got a makeover!! She's been aged to nine years old and now has pretty long hair. Do you care? Me neither. But I came upon this clip of FOX News talking heads getting all upset about it. Dora looks like a Bratz doll! Next they're gonna make her a pregnant sixteen year old! WHO'S NOT MARRIED. OY. Personally what I find frightening here is an adult man talking about how sexy a typical nine year old is. Watch the video after the jump.

I liked what the lady they were interviewing said, abour her ethnicity becoming an accessory (not cool) and how she lost her backpack & compass (why?! That's what she's all about!)

I didn't hear that at all -- I heard his anxiety at his own kids getting sexualised too early by things like those ghastly and slutty Bratz dolls - UGH! I dunno what I would do if I was a parent today! You can't ban that stuff -- it just becomes more enticing.
I have friends who said they wouldn't make a song and dance about their kids receiving inappropriate toys, but those toys would quietly vanish after a short while...
