In Case You Missed It: Conan's Cold Open

What did you think of Conan last night??? I don't think the show was Conan's best "show" ever (obviously counting Late Night ), but it was a great first show and a great start to a new Tonight Show.

My favorite opening joke, "I have to admit I think I've timed this moment perfectly. Think about it: I'm on a last-place network; I moved to state that's bankrupt; and tonight's show is sponsored by General Motors."

In case you missed it--here's his cold open:

I loved his opening but the show went right in the crapper once Will Ferrell came out. I can't stand him, don't think he's funny at all & I'm sick to death of his blatant movie promos. Blech! I hope that stupid movie bombs big time & he goes away.

The problem with Will Ferrell is he's never a real person...he's always doing a character, and it usually isn't a funny character.

And if that clip was the BEST promo they could come up with, Land Of The Lost manages to be less funny than the original (which wasn't intended to be a comedy, yet still made people laugh.)
