Ex- Idol, Kristy Lee Cook just signed a record deal with 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville. Her album is set to drop this fall with her first single 15 Minutes of Shame (released August 11). I get that she's got a country voice, but if she's expecting Carrie Underwood fame, she's going to have to put out a sex tape or use something other than her voice to get her that status. Too harsh? Sorry, Kristy Lee Cook drove me CRAZY last season.

I'm kinda suprised that out of everyone that season, she's one of the first people who we are hearing about that has an album coming out and has an actual date when the album comes out.
After thinking about it, it actually makes sense. Forgive me if I'm wrong but they'll sign anybody to be a country artist of course it helps if your blonde, skinny, bland and moderately talented so of course Kristy got signed before everyone else.

no apologies needed bigjr. I totally agree with you. I didn't think Kristy had that much talent, other than she looked good on stage. We'll see how the album does, otherwise...she'll get dropped just like Blake Lewis did from Arista.

Kristy Lee Cook is mediocre. Her voice is in no way up to the quality that is expected in Nashville if you try to break into the industry conventionally. I guess the record company was smart enough to realize that a whole bunch of idiots voted for her and will probably buy her record. I predict she will have one album that sells poorly and then go back to riding horses.
