Having Writers Is Unfair

The Tonight Show's executive producer, Debbie Vickers is not happy about Letterman having writers on his show during the strike. She's calling it an unfair advantage, and that it's not a level playing field. The fact of the matter is that Letterman owns Worldwide pants, and NBC owns The Tonight Show and Conan. So, she's right, it is an unfair advantage, but then again, why berate Letterman about owning his own production company, and having a separate deal? Debbie, we get that there are no writers, and it's a tough time to be had by all. Just be glad that you're back on the air.
