Michelle Ryan: I think accent-wise, the American accent is definitely something I had to work on. The further we've gotten into the series, the easier and easier it becomes.

Nads: Does it feel like a fresh start?

Michelle Ryan: It does feel like a fresh start. I'm so well-known in England for playing Zoe, who was actually quite a soft, even, slightly weak character, so I love the fact that if the show works, I'll be sort of known as a very strong feisty character, and I think it's a nice progression for me.

Nads: How exciting to be introduced to America as the Bionic Woman!

Michelle Ryan: I mean what better way to be launched to an American audience than by playing, you know, Bionic Woman. I do feel so lucky to have got this job.

So there is was folks, the new Bionic Woman. She seemed very sweet, and very British! I'm really looking forward to the show's start next week, since I only caught the original series in re-runs. The one question I had for David Eick, the Executive Producer of the show was about Isaiah Washington and what kind of publicity he thought it would bring the show having him on after all of the T.R. Knight drama with Grey's Anatomy. He responded, "I didn't realize it was bad publicity, but it's certainly good for the show. I mean he's a tremendous actor and just in watching the dailies and a couple of the early cuts, he's really sensational, just kind of elevates everything around him and brings a level of, you know, gravitas to the show."

Hey David, bad publicity is good publicity, right???
