Gasmii, I didn't get to see Paranormal State on Monday, did anyone see it? I just heard it got 2.5 million views; that made it the most watched premier of any show on A&E in three years. Thoughts? Was it creepy? Is it worth it? I'm so intrigued by the whole concept of a "Paranormal Research Society" and chasing ghosts, so creepy.

It is an excellent show, and yes there are some creepy moments. I first thought it was an hour show, but it is two half hours instead. It is about this guy Ben (I think that's his name), who had alot of problems growing up with the supernatural, anyway when he went on to college (Penn State) he found that there were a group of people who shared his instrest in the paranormal and they founded the group of investigators. Families call upon them to help with their hauntings. The first show was about a little boy who turns out to be clairvoinent and they helped him out. On the second show they called in Lorriane Warren (demonologist, think Amityville Horror) because they were having trouble, and at the end the called in the Catholic Church to help the family. Really, really good, don't miss it this week!!

I'm not sure why featherhead was so impressed, there were 4 of us watching and everyone was "boring" "fake" "awful" plus a few other words I can't type.. :)
It really was a horrible show, just a bunch of Scoobydo wantabes without the dog to keep it interesting. HORRIBLE.

Nads, I think you can watch the past episodes on A&E's website and then you can make your own opinion. I still think it was a pretty excellent show, even though justmememe doesn't agree. I've had my own past experiences, so maybe I understand it a little more then justmememe does. The little boy in the first episode being able to pick out the ghost's picture in a group of two dozen and describing him with the headphones made me believe him absolutely. Sometimes when you have a group of people sitting there snarking about what's on, it is easier to make fun of what you see.

Final verdict: I like it! Scooby Do, yes, but I was entertained.
