Due to the writer's strike, the People's Choice Award is now changing formats. The new format will now have prerecorded acceptance speeches by the winners as well as their responses to questions sent by fans.
Are they afraid that the winners won't be able to perform live and their questions need to be produced? Queen Latifah is still set to host, but she will partake in this "new" format as well. I think they should just green screen in an audience while they're at it. The People's Choice Awards is set to air Jan. 8 on CBS.

That is about the lamest thing I've ever heard of! Why bother with all that fanfare. Save everybody some money and just post the winners and their speeches on the internet.
