Remaking Menudo, Cow Intestines?

Ricky2

MTV is launching a new show called, Making Menudo premiering October 25th at 10:30 PM ET/PT. This show will be the search for the next bilingual boy band superstars. As if you Latin lovers didn't think that was enough, there will be special appearances by Frankie J, Wilmer Valderrama and Backstreet Boys' member Howie D...but no Ricky Martin.

The show:
MTV went on a search to find bilingual boys from ages 13-19 and widdled it down to 15 finalist where they had to go to "Menudo Boot Camp". At boot camp, they were under the supervision of Johnny Wright (the manager for Back Street, N'Sync, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake), musical coach Davide Coury, and some choreographers. And of course, there will be no Lou Pearlman!

Menudo-2-1

I think this is a new twist for MTV to get their Latin audiences involved, and probably will do well, considering Making The Band did so well. We all know that VH1's Mission: Man Band tanked, but then again, who wants to see has-beens trying to stumble their feet and their words. Unless, Justin Timberlake made an appearance to coach them.

In Making Menudo, they'll have 72 hours to learn a song, dance, etc. Then, the casting-off begins. I wonder if I can get one of the rejects to be my hot pool boy when he's off the show?
