So sad...Majel Roddenberry passed away yesterday morning of leukemia. She was 76. Majel was involved with Star Trek from day one, and she often times played the voice of the ship's computer...she will be missed, but her legacy will live on...

Her son, and my friend Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry Jr. made the statement on the Roddenberry website: "My mother truly acknowledged and appreciated the fact that Star Trek fans played a vital role in keeping the Roddenberry dream alive for the past 42 years. It was her love for the fans, and their love in return, that kept her going for so long after my father passed away."
